  • Western KY find- what is it?

    Found this last weekend. Looks like some sort of pickaxe. Found the other piece laying next to it in a dried up sand stone creek. These artifacts def are not sandstone.

      I’ve been staying at Carter Caves State Park on the eastern side of Kentucky for the last three days. I’ve seen a lot of natural stuff like yours all over the creeks in this area. I’d say yes it’s natural stone but interesting stuff for sure.

              I agree with redrocks on his reply. Limestone comes in many shapes and designs. I believe that's what you have.
