  • Broken Discodial or Rock

I was rock hounding and recently found some cutting and misc tools along a washout on the River. Perhaps I will post a few of them later as I would like to know more about them.

This rock caught my eye and was in the same condensed area I found over a dozen other tools. It is a little shy of 1.75" diameter, it appears to be clear smokey quartz, very smooth and circular except down the center where the rock broke which is a little rough. One side is flatter than the other which has a bit of a domed look to it. I am doubtful that it is broken discoidal, but I thought I would ask opinions on it just to be sure.

Hi Disno 54, Just like you and the other guys I'm thinking just a rock, also. Funny thing about those creek and river tumbled stones: they come in all sizes and shapes and some of them resemble artifacts.
