  • On Hands and Knees

I bought a pair of high end knee pads and they seem to have paid off. I found my what appears to be an tiny Agate Basin and thumb scraper.

Looks like a productive hunt. I think Redrocks is correct on the Copena call.

Is it show any grinding on the sides or base? Copena sometimes has grinding to though. It’s a nice find

Red rocks, I think I stand corrected. Everything points to Copena. While we are looking at Copena points, do you this point could also be Copena? Maybe Articulated?

That one looks older to me, but it could be a preform for a Copena I guess.

How can you be sure it’s Paleolithic?

Looks similar to a Paint Rock Valley point which is transitional Paleo. Nice find!!

Doe there appear to be parallel flaking? I am new to lithic identification. It does not look like it to me. See reply below with pic of similar point found 1/2 mile upstream.

Aqua-man, see image below that shows point found upstream. It has deeper less random flaking.
