  • Big Hoe or No?

Well I went to quartz creek and took a few pics for you. Beautiful creek but the finds are scarce for whole ones anyway. I think I might of found a big hoe it's a maybe anyway. Found it in a stretch I've found a Celt and other hoes just has that shape that makes you wonder if it a Woodland hoe or not. Hope you enjoy the pictures it was a long walk many miles but loved every minute of it. I sure like your pictures. Hard to say on the hoe, but looks like it could be.

Cute! Bug-Hoe.... thought was artifact for wacking ‘squittos when you find yourself breathing thick, humid air while standing in a warm Georgia creak!

I wasn’t sure if it was a bug hoe, but pretty sure it’s a big hoe! J/k. I fixed your title

I wondered what you meant by bug hoe, lol! It makes the mind wonder...

Not to sure about it myself. Dang nice creek to walk in though.

Beautiful creek and the best thing is no house for miles. But I do bang my stick on trees and rocks due to the wild animal's out there. Only tracks I saw were deer and Turkey this time. Bug hoe, geez

Banging sticks and rocks, watch out for Bigfoot!

I was watching more for wild hogs and bears. I've heard a Mountain lion out there before but only once couple of years ago

Really nice pics of your creek. Lots of lovely rocks to look at in it's bed

Very tempting to see the big, flat, oblong stone as an artifact. Looks hoe-like to me.

The quartz is always good to find.

That crystal broken one would of been a good one. The gravel is hard stone and quartz so it's real hard on the artifacts. That creek was over the banks for months. Thanks Tom

Yes it was nice 70 degrees and sunny. Little shower once. I went way upstream got to the end of the property and saw a big gravel bar. Tempting but I didn't walk it I just turned around cause the finds were slim already probably nothing there either

It was quite relaxing being so quiet just me and the birds. I needed that after the hell week at work with people buying everything in sight.

Morning Glenn.....that makes sense to .me. Surfaces can be delicate........matter of fact....I took my new 20 lb notched weight down to the Chinese laundromat/Dry cleaners yesterday ...the guy said get out....you got rocks in your head....I insisted that he clean my weight....he called the cops....they didn't come because the cops round here changed how they're responding to calls ...only critical stuff now....so being the reasonable guy I am I just picked up my weight and left ...I'll do it with a toothbrush when it dries more......I'm hoping this make ya laugh in these trying times brother!!!!

Looks like a hoe to me but as you said, kind of nondescript. Hard to see obvious work but the overall shape seems right.

Creek looks really nice as well. Watch out for the critters, big and small. I got chased by a raccoon once. 🙂
