  • Today's find in a Central Mass lake

I found this one this morning in 4" of nice clear water. It doesn't fit neatly into any New England typology. It's made of a light gray felsite (when dry) has tiny fine edge chipping and a ground base. I'm thinking Ste. Anne-Varney. Any thoughts?Click image for larger version

Yeah, it's in perfect shape. A few years ago I found another similar point that is about 1" shorter and is made of a gray-black chert at another site about 1/8th of a mile down the shoreline. I'll have to get a pic of the both of them together.
