    Cool, and welcome back. Clicking on the photo, it said Cliff(he has not been around in ages himself) called it a "zoormorphic effigy gorget". Pretty interesting. You can see where there was originally a second hole drilled in it.

        It's a cool artifact either way. I think the material is grey slate, but it is stained by sulfur creekwater, and there is plenty of Blue Heron's in the area. Thank you
