  • A month's worth

Long time farmers getting crops out of their fields mostly due to rains and prices. There are still many with standing corn and beans so the hunt is elusive this fall/winter. Have managed to scrounge a few up though, nothing special but a couple of nice little ones.

Searching the fields of NW Indiana and SW Michigan

I'd settle for those any time! Just haven't found the time or had cooperating weather to hunt. Now the hunters are out in force with their dog packs & the deer head for the marshes & shore trying to escape. A holiday is no time to hunt artifacts. Maybe next week.

Greg - I'm with Deb and Josh but I go out and the leaves are still just too heavy on the ground to find anything. It's frustrating but thanks to our website, I get my fix. Thanks for posting.

Given the conditions you describe I’d say that’s a great month of finds Greg. Hope you get another axe next trip

Nice finds! No-till farming has just about put an end to my field hunting. Shame too. I used to love it.

I know how that can be, those are great though. I think I saw that scraper in another thread and I really like that one. I like the work on pic 5. Nice finds for sure man, not too shabby if you ask me.
