    Here are a few of my recent finds!! It’s been a busy early spring, but I’ve had a few weekends to string together some hunts..

      Nice quartzies...never found one from quartz in my area yet...

        It very well could happen!! If you like I’d be happy to send you a quartz artifact... it’s our predominant lithic of choice here

          Right kindly of ya Point...you East Coasters find them a lot. Thanks for the generous offer but I want to keep looking for one as the chase is better than the catch...

          Lol New England, specifically Massachusetts. it’s a false spring we’ve been having.. that and I’m an optimist.

        Nice finds dude! That tool is a multipurpose chopper. Ive found a bunch in different sizes, almost all of them are Attleboro Red like yours is too, though I have a few that are quartz.thats a nice one!

            Thank you for the sketch jay!! That’s super cool! I’m happy I held onto it! When I first picked it up thought it might’ve been a core or something. Then the hampster wheel started turning lol

            Right on bud. This tool style comes in different sizes and weights, some were hafted some hand held, heck some might’ve even been whacked on the back end with a mallet and used like a chisel, I got a larger sized one with damage on both ends that would been too bulky to haft and I’m guessing was used in that manner.

            Very cool! I love finding anything red rhyolite.. quartz is cool and all, but the rhyolites are my favorite
