      Definitely worth all the effort...we lost over two feet of soil off the top of three ridges....so there is a bit of bitterness with the sweet. 😕

                I like to think it is some dalton variant, but it's aweful small and that particular site just isn't that old, but I'm not an expert either.

              Great finds. I sure like the celt. It is a dandy. I'm don't think I see a Dalton, but better pics might help on type ID. Congrats.

                    This one is for Bruce...a first for me. A surface find, literally in the middle of a field, 17 miles from the nearest paved road...1899 Philadelphia Barber 1/2 dollar..

                      I know Bruce, but the very first thing I thought of when I picked it up was "how in the world did this get here?" And the second thing was "Bruce would get a kick out of this.."

                    Here's some more....it was a good trip. Ended up with a couple cool bases as well as a few broke tips.
