Nice drill! What's that made of? It almost looks like quartz.

It's likely something in the neighborhood of Knox Chert, or at least a similar small cobble Chert . I wouldn't call it a drill as it's much to delicate for such use, but just a skinny sharp triangle arrow point made for penetrating the vitals of whitetail deer.

Well, where personal finds go, my wife and I have been a team for decades now, and I think my top favorites are these two she found....

I took to calling this one "the owl point" because held this way it reminds me of an owl's face:

I am still waiting for a 8 inch long, 5 inch wide, Lost Lake...

I haven't got it yet. A river or creek walk is in the not to distant future, and we are going to ask permission to hunt a plowed field holding a suspected Indian camp. The neighbor told us that he had found multiple points when he was building his house, and now they are logging below a natural spring not to far away. Life is about to get good! As soon as school ends.

Yeah, we're all waiting for that lost lake too. I'm sure your neighbor will let you hunt his land. Sounds very promising, anywhere close to a spring is a prime area. Can't wait to see what you turn up.

Never know its like hunting treasure every time I go out looking. Treasure is hard to find though so keep looking

If only Mr. Cox could post his favorite here. I would love to see what his favorite would look like.
