    Stepped into the creek and asked the ancients to bless me with something good. They obliged! Just pulled this

        Thanks Red! It is sort of a Dijon mustard color. Given the amount of broken cobbles I find in this creek I assume it is from a cobble of crowleys ridge chert but it could be jasper as well.

        Thanks Baba! I am a bit superstitious, and things like this only strengthen this particular superstition. Keep at it and you'll find one. I call this a creek but it is more like the bottom of a gully in the woods and the creek bed drains the runoff. Its boxed in on three sides, only about 15 feet wide at the widest point and has a bunch of little fingers that branch off at what would be considered the head.
