  • Summer/Fall Finds

Lots of hunts turned up nothing this summer, I hope this fall is a little better. This will be quick, here's what I got.

Two finds from an old reliable site. The triangle is still pretty sharp, the break hurts a little.

    Little beat up small stem.

One find from this next site. This site turns up cool ones but most trips here turn up nothing. It took a handful of trips to find this triangle. Just has a little nick on the base.

Next spot was a new site. These were all from the summer. It was always a long uncomfortable walk in the boiling sun to get to this place.

Maybe a preform or a tool? Not sure.

    A couple nice quartz points.

Last site, one of my favorite sites but another that rarely turns up anything. Sometimes I have some luck here.

Found this quartz piece after a heavy rain.

Here it is next to a little scraper I found the same day.

This little pitted stone I already posted. Pics are a little dark.

And this last one is pretty beat up but I can't believe I found it. Of all types to find there I find the one I've been looking for since before I ever found anything. There were footprints walking right by it. I've never had a point I thought of restoring, but this one I just might.

    Thanks for looking.

Nice points. I love the quartz stuff. I wouldn't have had the patients to wait all summer to post them.

Really nice finds - nicks or not. Like those quartz and in particular the small one with the well defined shoulders. Don't believe I've seen one like that.
