  • Couple recent finds

My hunting partner and I decided to hunt one of the fields next to our usual spot. It is essential just an extension of the site that is in our usual two fields. The hunting in the new field has been pretty good. I found the Dickson in the darndest place...under my friends foot! I was walking up to him to check out a point that he had found and right as I got to him I looked down just as he was stepping on it! I told him I found one too and when he asked to see it I told him to lift up hos foot, Lol! Idk if I'll ever top that as far as funny hunting stories go.
A couple days later I went out and walked right up on my first snyders just sitting on top of the row. Both are a little dinged up but I love em just the same. Click image for larger version

Great story ! Hurt his feelers ? LOL! That happens more than most know. I really prefer not to hunt by myself, especially in remote locations. Looks foggy in the pic... I’m happy for you !

Thanks JJ! Naw, his feelings weren't hurt but I think he was a little embarrassed that he didn't see it. I don't mind hunting by myself but I don't mind taking a friend either. I don't hunt many remote locations. The camera lens on my phone is getting worn out so it makes all my pics cloudy.

Thanks Red! I really like the material on that Dickson. Not sure what it is but it's kinda quartzite like.

Sweet saves, that has happened to me both ways..I’ve been the stepper over and the spotter. I think if you are meant to find them they find you..

Thanks GP. I thought it was the funniest thing but I guess it is more common than I thought. I've found them in my own tracks before but never under another persons foot, lol. I can definitely agree with that last statement.

Thanks, Josh! Has a couple dings on it but not bad for a field find. It is made of kaolin flint from southern Illinois
