My girlfriend found her first sweet little hard stone Celt! They are very rare in this area at least ones that are whole and have a sharp bit still on them. Farm equipment has worked most of them over but every now and then ya can find a good one down here still.

Dang man that is a nice little stone. Still on my list after 32 years. In nice shape too. Great, awesome find. Whereabouts ?

That’s a beauty. I found my first one almost 20 years ago, also in East Arkansas. Since then, I know of seven or ten that have been found on the same site.
as you said, the plow is hard on them. I find a broke one nearly every time I go out.
Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.

That is a beautiful little celt and she found it still in awesome condition. Many times celts have chunks broken off.

Super nice survivor. 50 yrs ago they were easier to find but the last 10 they are getting rarer. Congrats.

So much truth. Precision leveling is HARD on them.
