My girlfriend found her first sweet little hard stone Celt! They are very rare in this area at least ones that are whole and have a sharp bit still on them. Farm equipment has worked most of them over but every now and then ya can find a good one down here still.

That’s a beauty. I found my first one almost 20 years ago, also in East Arkansas. Since then, I know of seven or ten that have been found on the same site.
as you said, the plow is hard on them. I find a broke one nearly every time I go out.Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.Comment
