I'm stunned by that blade. Biggest thing I think I've seen posted on here that wasn't from an old collection. Blades of that size never stay in one piece. I guess that gives us all hope that things like that are still out there. The rest of your 6 month finds are great as well. I'm lucky if my creek produces a flake these days.

that big one sure perked up the frame i put it in. i went back this morning hoping to find a couple 6 inch lost lakes or some clovis blades but all i found was a nutting stone and a shark tooth.

You need another big rain. So was there a lot of mud and sand left behind? We had 5 over the bank floods but it all settled in the creek instead of washing away. I’m sure there are some nice keeper finds but you can’t see them.

one creek i look took it bad, it jammed up a bunch of big trees and made dams. it caused two or three good gravel bars to get covered under five foot of water and mud. the spot where the big blade came from stays the same most of the time it just gets shuffled around and flips the piles, the bad part about that place is after a few weeks of sunshine the clay starts to crack and crumble then when it comes a soft rain it melts the clay down like concrete, then you have to wait for the next big rain to wash it on down the channel just to be able to hunt.

Man, I thought for a while you were just crazy.

that was worth the wait though....man, that’s a beautiful collection, and a monster of a blade.
