  • A Few Years Back

    These were found at the battle site of Horseshoe Bend a few years ago. My club was invited by the NPS to do an archaeological survey of the area. Very interesting !! The point was made of copper.

    Not quite sure of the top artifact but the copper pont looks to be Native made maybe from a raid and then cut up to make points.
    Here is a quick read on the Battle and the reasons for it.

        I see what you are saying and the with the other two ax's for examples. but I would need to see the other side and the front and back end to say that's what it is. The curve on the bit end would indicate it was not tempered. but a break on the other end would have not broke in that fashion either. that is what is throwing me off right now ....cool find either way.
