Two Plains side notches, one Hanna? A couple thumb scrapers and a few broken knives. Not a bad weekend.

I haven't had any time to research them. They are the only ones I have seen in the area. Sadly most of the paintings on that wall have been lost to erosion. I have a feeling one of the objects above the head is a rifle. The other might be a blanket or hides? The Rifle would have been adorned with feathers near the end and maybe a paint mark on the stock. I was pretty excited about finding them.

First, nice insitus. Re. the rock paintings, did you find them on the ground or chip them off?

I’m kind of baffled by that question...

I can't say I saw anything on the ground but dust. And I sure as HELL wouldn't vandalize anything. I wondered if there had been any vandalism while I was looking at them. There was only one or two names scratched into the wall. The fact it's on private property has helped prevent people from wrecking them.

That’s good to know. I asked because I couldn’t tell if the paintings were insitu or if they had broken off a rock face & you found the pieces.

Ty for sharing your finds with us. As far as the paintings go I just don’t find anything like them here. It’s always nice to see things from other places.
