Here a few findings from yesterday. The blade is rough and maybe a preform. I have a hundred of these nice broken points, but have only found a few nice ones.

Interesting finds, looks like you have a Crescent blade those are usually found out west nice find. Blades are also neat.South East Ga. Twin City

You are right. Crescent knifes are usually associated with Paleo period. My finds included what is referred to as a Lamellar Blade. They are usually a “uni-Face core piece” with razor sharp micro edging applied. They would have been used for skinning small animals, cutting vegetation with maybe the occasional hair cut. I have collected thousands from the Whippoorwill Site in South Logan County Kentucky. More than likely there was a mound complex in this area.
