  • Indigenous Peoples Day finds.....

I thought I'd celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day by getting out and walking an ancient site. I found a quartzite Brewerton and a quartz blade or pre-form. It was a great day to be out and thinking about those who lived here first. Sometimes you can imagine them walking the landscape.

I did push the grass mat back. It was actually water weeds pushed up on a lake shoreline. Unfortunately nothing else under it.

I am kind of stumped on this one. It is kind of thick. I've found few of these over the years and have never really figured them out.

Montgomery is not a recognized point here in NE.

I got first one’s cousin here in Georgia. Thick, and maybe little bigger but my fingers smaller (with apparently permanent dirt under nails!). It’s beat up, and has a stack (SurfaceHunter taught me that term) on it, like a big rock-zit. But it is my most beautiful possession (except for Doggies and sometimes my kid!) because first time picked up a rock and knew ......

Welcome. Yes, you have some broken points and debitage there. But it's better if you start a thread to introduce yourself, and show your finds, what state, etc., rather then post them in this thread.
