ID:	436448 This raccoon jawbone was found at Tick island in North East Florida, on the St Johns River. It is the running scroll which is so prevalent ( usually on pottery ) in the southeast...I’m showing how the engraver nicely fits the fingers.( I like these little tools also ) ...The two bone points show the actual pitch that was used for attachments, the same the same pitch appears on the engraving... Also from Tick Island....

I should have done this with a shark tooth cuzz I’m sure that’s what they used, but you get the idea, that’s the main thing.

Hay Harold, I love the artifacts. I have used a lot of Pine Pitch glue on my hafted knives.
Any idea the meaning of the engraving? Our camp traveled to another camp and turned it upside-down?

That raccoon jaw is pretty spectacular. I don't see things like that very often. Not even in artifact books. Is it missippian?
