This vessel in the Weeden Island group...It was found on Weeden Island by miss June’s uncle in 1951...It’s a14” wide cone shaped one, about 1/4”thick, and was used for cooking....the most interesting thing about W/I is, it lies on the southernmost edge of the great trade route and as such, received hardly any of the finer ceremonial ware, although the pottery found there was named after the Island, there were insignificant amounts of it...
