  • First drill

Found yesterday in the same 2 acre area of a field that I've found much of my stuff (where I found the paleo base I shared a few days ago). I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't reached over it to pick up a nice complete scraper. While I was brushing the dirt off the scraper I was still bent over and the drill was pointing straight up at me. I assumed it was just the tip and was broken but appears to be complete. Thoughts on that? Central KY. Thanks as always.

More than one picture would be nice, maybe both sides

If it is flat it could be a spike point, nice either way

It's possible it might not be a drill from what I can see in the picture (looks too flat) but a nice find nonetheless. I could be wrong, post some more pictures when you can, especially side views. Here's a few examples to compare yours too...

Thanks guys for the comments. I think you guys might be right on it being too flat for a drill (that's why I post on this forum, cause you guys rock! - pun intended) Here's a video that shows it better than the still pics I took - https://youtu.be/AqS8VvVR3Jg

Do you all believe it to be whole or broken?

After seeing your video, it’s a drill..... whole or nearly whole. There may be just a dab of the paddle end missing... sweet find they are hard to find intact......👍
