    This is one I was considering soaking in mineral oil but never did. 2 1/8 by 1 1/2 found in Hillsborough County Florida.

    I bet if you soaked it all of the inclusions would pop with all kinds of colors.

      I believe it, never got around to soaking this one. I think I've posted all the ones I've soaked (now unsoaked). If I get around to soaking any again this one will definitely be on the list.

      I haven't found a good quartzite point in a few years. Its either chert or quartz.

      P.s. it looks like high quality chert,not much patina to soak, ..Shorter soaking time,?, how does that work

    I dunno...It looks a bit porous in places...oil might make a greasy mess with some pops of color LOL. Sweet little point!

      I always thought this one soaked would look a little too unreal with the colors. I might try it one of these days (probably not 🙂).
