  • Today's quartz finds

Went to my go to spot again (when my other areas aren't ready). The longest 2; smallest a little over 3/4 inch. These along with others from this area I have to let soak in warm water and dawn soap for a few hours. Quantity over Quality everytime here.

Thanks Hal, come on up. No snow in my part of Georgia yet. It's still pretty cold though. Wear a thick jacket, some gloves, a beanie and 2 pairs of socks and you'll be fine and don't forget the chapstick.

Thanks Glenn; it was pretty chilly down my way as well. I'm sure mine and your weather is pretty similar. I've found more points (not better though) in the past week than last year but I'm ready for my other areas to become available. I'm going to check on that probably early next month. I might go to this area one more time then take a break.

Thanks Brad, I know the cold won't stop you from looking but the cold + storm might; but after the storm I'm sure is a different story 🙂

I would think with that many finds there should be some hardstone out there

I did find a broken piece of hardstone something with a big strike on it (most likely from a plow). There's a creek a little lower on the property and I found it close to it. I don't think it's anything but I picked it up because the material had no business being there. I'll take a picture and post it later tonight.

Hey, you found points! don't look a gift horse in the mouth, or it'll snap your nose off. I think that's how it goes.

I looked a little north of Columbus, I basically prefer south but I'll go here sometimes. Plus it's a lot closer drive.
Working...
