  • Garden expansion 4, flake blades

A few flake blades came out of the garden. The brown square one was found by the five year old, Ava. It's her first artifact. I just can't get over the micro flaking on the edges of some of these. I posted the best one first. Its outstanding lithic and has a pointed "spur" on one end that I believe was intentional.

Thanks hoss, for the life of me I couldn't think of the word "graver" when I was typing this.... settled on spur but I knew it wasn't right....

Hey Chad, Those are some real nice flake knives. The first one with the graver is downright awesome.

Amazing what you find on your property. Can you imagine who and what went on long before you and your group showed up?

Some dandy flake tools you found and the one with the tiny graver tip is awesome. It is the smallest graver I ever saw. I'm wondering what it was used for.

I picture it in my mind all the time. All the lives, hopes, dreams, tragedies, that happened here thousands of years ago.....mind boggling....

Think it’s a little scrapper . I can’t see it with the naked eye only under the magnification . It’s almost sharp enough to cut paper .
I like to believe the core was for holding it .
