  • First in situ...

    This guy comes from South Louisiana, North of Baton Rouge. Not sure of the type, kind of rough one to be honest, not the prettiest I've seen. Any suggestions? Thanks!

      It looks like a corner notched knife form from the archaic-woodland period. Cool find!

          Thanks! Can you tell me what gives it away as a knife instead of a point? I've done some research but still not really clear - apparently thickness and asymmetrical edges are a clue?

            Yeah, I was looking at it as an ugly point, but a corner notched knife is extremely cool in my book... First for me!
