    Found a Rhyolite point that the acid in soil has almost deteriorated it away, outside is crumbling away. also found a point and a blade. other two coastal plain chert, southeast Ga. Click image for larger version

      that deep red comes from heat treating and your piece looks fire poppy, too. Prolly cooked too long/high. May be a little Hissbourle preform woi
