  • My Museum

Hi all I'm going to do this back words, "Tell and Show". No I haven't had my Surgery as of yet. Waiting on a call from the Doctor. Since November after mom went to the home, I've been trying to clean her apartment. New paint, carpet cleaning etc. Her old living room is now my Artifact room. Kind of like a very small Museum. I've been brining my collection down from the attic and photographing counting and pricing. I had never done a complete inventory or catalogue like this before. Mostly for insurance purposes, and personal knowledge of just what all I have. I will not brag, only tell you the facts. Pict #1 the front door, "A Point in Time" #2 Top shelf, Blades and preforms, Middle shelf nearly 100 Celts, bottom shelf almost 30 Axes. #3Pottery, Beads, Pipes, Banner Stones and Paleo knives. #4. More Artifacts, note the Riker mounts I'm up to 50 of these counted and cataloged.. Better picts. coming once I get things in order. Thanks for looking. Be well my friends. Kim

Absolutely kicking, Mattern! You should open to public one day a month, have big jar for donations to Pennsylvania Archeological Society, give guided tours!

My home owners company agent (Allstate) told me they could not insure my modest collection, because they had no way of determining its value. Unusual for insurance guy to turn down a larger premium payment!

Thanks Cm. One of the reasons I'm going to all this work is for insurance purposes. I have them all insured twice at 80 thousand, may have to up that once I'm done.
