Gary’s are great points in my book! Some have their “uniqueness” but some are super well made and usually very nice materials. That’s an awesome find!

They loved that ogallala chert. Now for the type... I literally have two A frames committed to Gary points. People make fun of them and some are junky. On the other hand, they did make some nice ones like yours

Im a fan of any point. Seems like garys are the red headed stepchild of the artifact world but i dig em. Some of my nicest pieces are garys.

My only reasoning would be partly bc of how common they are in my area and as garguy said most are pretty crude. I guess the simplicity of them made them as well? Idk but ive hunted with several people that see garys as a lackluster point. I on the otherhand will take anything i can find lol

I call them Scary Garys, which alot of them are, but i have some so beautiful and masterfully crafted that i want to uptype them somehow! Haha. Great find. If it werent fir garys my collection would be much smaller. Love them all

In your area its Gary’s in mine its La Jitas. Some are just the ugliest plain’ol points, and some are made large and fine. The latter tend to be more difficult to find it seems.
