  • Magazines...?

Can anyone recomend a good monthly magazine for native artifacts, arrowheads, etc?

There is no such monthly animal. The best printed quarterlies are Central States Archaeological Journal, put out by the CSA Society, and Prehistoric American put out by Genuine Indian Relic Society (GIRS), Both have lots of good pics, but the CSAJ has find stories and interesting articles, while PA is a coffee table type publication with a bit more archaeology maybe. The Authentic Artifacts Collectors Association (AACA) at www.theaaca.com puts out an online quarterly magazine that is quite good (and free) and you can view past issues here- http://www.theaaca.com/aaca/index.ph...ontent_2&pid=1
There is another popular rag called Indian Artifact Magazine, but it doesn't appeal to me personally. The layout is poor, the pics are usually blurry and small and the one opinion very opinionated there, plus the cost for what you get is very high. But that is just my own review.
Join the AACA and the CSAS and you'll enjoy the quarterlies.

Central States Archaeological Journal. Join a society in your area and receive the Journal quarterly. Link to CSAS: http://csasi.org/index.htm

ASO is a great publication but it takes a year and a half to receive 4 issues!
