i love the old muscle cars
my first car when i was 16 yrs old was a 1966 dodge charger, first year they made the charger and one of two years when it was a fast back model.loved this car and will one day own another
then i owned a 1965 ford mustang with a 289 ci,4 bl carb, solid lifters and cast headers from the factory
then i had a 1975 chevy nova custom, dropped in a 1985 chevy 305 with aluminum intake and heads,4 bl carb. had the trans rebuilt with a b&m stage 1 shift kit. this car would lay a patch of rubber all through first and second gear and squack the wheels going into third gear
now i own a 2010 ford fusion sport. 3.5l engine, sport shift auto trans, 265 horse power,259 lb ft of torque.a good amount of both for a car that weighs only 4400 lbs
sport blue exterior with the sport trim interior. when i bought this car brand new in october of 2009 there were only two like it built at that time,it was first production run of this car.has every option that was available at that time except for all wheel drive.
very fun car to drive, if you shut off the traction control system it will leave a patch of rubber all the way through third gear into fourth before it hooks up. with the traction control system on it will still leave a thirty foot patch of rubber,
the goodyear eagle performance tires are to expensive to do this with.after the wife and i wore off the first set of tires in less than 30,000 miles we decided that we would no longer play like that.cost us over $1200 to put a new set of rubber on it.

My first car was paid for by big Macs and French fries haha.  Purple Plymouth Breeze.  I actually  wrecked it and blew the airbags in it and had to duct tape the dash down since it was still driveable.  I used to climb in it through the door window to make my friends laugh.  One night we were catfishing and I bottomed out and scraped the transmission pan on a rock and when we went to leave of course I couldn't move.  I had one of my friends bring me some fluid and I patched the hole with bubble gum and actually made it home.  I'll never forget that crappy car. Sold it for $200 when I got my Acura TL Type S haha.
