  • Some Laughs From Long Ago

Laurel and Hardy were a little before my time, but, growing up they were on the TV every week. I see there is a new movie out about their life story. Saw an interview last night in which the actors emphasized how this slapstick never gets old. Some of these clips are approaching 100 years old before long! Anyway, I watched a couple last night, and I was in stitches.

The clip that comprises the first 3:40 here is too much, lol....

Then there were the Marx Brothers, also before my time, and also on the TV all the time back in the day. Here are some of the classic insults from the incomparable Julius "Groucho" Marx....

So classic. I also grew up watching the reruns of these. They don't get old like you said. I was watching W.C. Fields the other day and lost a few hours laughing my butt off. Thanks for the laughs.

Oh, yeah, W.C was a riot, and I loved him with Mae West too!

Great stuff, you don't get that on cable.
      Don't forget the Stooges!
Also Flash Gordon too with his weekly cliffhangers.

Can't forget the Stooges, and I saw them in person, lol. 1967. Kentucky Point posted a clip of the Stooges awhile back that was great.

I do indeed remember Flash Gordon. And we could go on for awhile with the many Westerns back in the day as well. We've seen the whole history of TV, Greg!
