But this is the Cinmar blade. Very old news, and we have had many threads covering this find, and the Solutrean hypothesis which this discovery is used to support. In one of those old threads, we questioned just exactly how tight the find spot was:

You’ll have to go back to page 1 on the above thread….
Run a search on Solutrean hypothesis on our site, you will find a great many threads discussing both the theory and the Cinmar blade….

Don’t get me wrong, thanks for the video, but his information needs updating, and you will find numerous threads about this discovery here on our forum….Last edited by CMD; 09-14-2021, 08:52 AM.Rhode Island

Thanks for bringing this video to our attention. The fact that the mastodon skull was discovered at those depths was not surprising as we knew approximate sea levels 20,000 years ago. It was the points associated with the skull and the subsequent discovery of the artifacts in the museum by the archaeologist that resulted in a big controversy among some of the professionals a few years ago. It was pro Solutrean versus the con Solutrean groups. Some of the pros could not accept the idea that these may be Solutrean artifacts. I don't know the status of the controversy now as I have not tried to keep up with it.
