Great history. Here’s an Original Oil Painting done by a well known Yurok’ Indian Woman named Vera Ryerson’. She was born 1916’ in Northern Humboldt county. Some of her Baskets are in the Crocker’ Art Gallery. I actually found this painting on Ebay’ 20 years ago from a seller in Spokane WA. Veras’ Daughter lived in Spokane and was quite educated and well known. That’s no doubt how it ended up there.

      Great painting, Jack. Lucky to find it. Turns out these women were vital links to knowledge that might easily have been lost. Glad they are recognized for it
