  • What is this artifact?

    Was going through my rocks, and found this last spring. Was wondering what it could be or even what time period. It is super thin, so I don't think it is a preform, but it also isn't like the knife I would expect to find.
    Maybe a pipe cleaner?? Just need to find the pipe now....

        That appears to be a le3af shaped knife form, most likely Early Woodland and Adena related. Paul

            Looks like a knife. The flat side was used for this job.

              Nice find! I wish I could find a knife like that Judging from the pics the point looks worn, so I don't think it's a preform. It could be an Archaic Knife.

                  that's a cool knife!  Not sure I'd place it as a preform, judging by its refined, uniform appearance.  Nice find!
