Hello everyone its been a while since ive been on.. I was wondering if anyone new what this round polished stone was.. My wifes great grandfather Chris E Olsen worked for the museum of natural history from 1918 to the 40s and traveled the world on expeditions. Several years ago i had the chance to go down in his basement to look at some things he collected and was lucky enough to be given some indian artifact that been down there since the 50's. This past week i went back down and was given a few fossils, petrified wood and a couple artifacts. The one in questions is the round polished stone with a unfinished hole drilled into it...Not sure what it could be and any help would be appreciated. Ron

It is most likely modern. To me it looks like a carved onyx peach. They used to carve fruit out of Onyx in Mexico. http://www.goantiques.com/set-of-1647119
Welcome back good to hear from you.
