Hey ya DV - I got a rock garden out front in my wife's flower garden. Like you, we all find them and sometimes - just sometimes, they turn out to be artyfacts. Keep lookin'. By the way, Welcome Aboard AH.com. Always glad to see new members.

Please start making your titles of your threads unique and different , it becomes impossible to find things when everything has the same title. Thanks!

DV, when you first start looking for artifacts most people look for shapes only. Gotta Train the Brain, look for material that is knappable/workable and look for the distinct, diagnostic work (chipping, grinding, pecking etc) on the piece. You have the shapes down, just start looking carefully for the work on the piece. (there are a lot of posts about this "work" with pics in the archives and on the board now. Once you really see it or have someone point it out in person you will have it all down. Good Luck!
