  • Finding at the Delaware Bay NJ

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum - my 10 year-old son found this artifact at the Delaware Bay, North Cape May, a few blocks from Townbank Road. It was literally at the beach.
He was so excited that he finally found an arrowhead. We need some guidance to properly ID the period when it was crafted.

    Thank you for your support,

    Pedro

Awesome! Hopefully it's the first of many for the little fellow. I wish I could help with the ID, but I know very little about your area. Tell him I think it's beautiful and keep up the good work! 😊

Middle to late archaic hard to say on type. There are shadows in the notches throwing my eye off. Could be Lamoka Dustin Varient. you can read more an]bout Lamoka points at the following link. Congratulations to your son. Thank you for reaching out to us for help. Some of us here have had the passion ( we call it the bug) for a very ;ong time. Found my first around age 7 or so. maybe younger? all I know is it was more than fifty years ago and is still in my minds eye of who was there and how it happened. http://collections.nysm.nysed.gov/pr...es/lamoka.html
