  • Antique store find?

    I picked up these two points earlier today. I’m not sure what they are but they kind of look Neolithic Saharan? Here’s a few pictures. The material looks really cool backlit with a flashlight.

    Von, those are some beautiful pieces, and dangerous looking to boot!

        I was hoping they were from North America? I’ve been looking around the net and wonder if these could possibly be Gunther’s or Calapooya’s?

            Nice. I like the backlit aspect. Just goes to show sometimes you never know what a translucent material will look like backlit until it is backlit.

              Yea I didn’t expect to see the red inclusion. There’s little doubt they came from the same place. I thought it might help with identifying them?

                Kinda look like Obsidion points from the Northwest. Killer teeth on em!😀

                  I looked at a bunch of different points last night and I believe they are Calapooya points which are not that old realitive to other types. I’m not sure about the material but it could be obsidian? They are toothy and sharp!
