  • Help Bolen or Lost Lake?

Been trying myself to ID using Overstreet book and peachstatearchaeologicalsociety site. This one looks to me similar to Bolen, then I see pics of Lost Lake and looks like that also. I was reading that Lost Lake points are more beveled and not sure what that means.

Beveling occurs from resharpening. the flakes are taken off from one face of the bi-face, which gives it a wedge look. I dont see Lost lake Bolen would be a better fit. for future reference if you could add a scale or coin for size it helps with ID.
    Thanks for sharing!

IMHOP Lost Lake is a relatively modern point type name for FL and S. GA. They were never called that 30 years ago in FL and S. GA. I don't know what the heck a Lost Lake is lololol.
