    Trying to figure out what this might be? Found it in a creek on our property near some artifact tools.
    Thank you in advance.

    I think that is the upper part of a long bone like a tibia. It's been gnawed on by a porcupine lol or similar creature. It sure could have been used as a socket for an adze or axe..... I would not guess the species..... Flat part on the crooked stick with tool in socket... Just can't tell if that is the case here...but that is what they look like!

      Could it be a hollowed out deer/other large ruminant antler?
      Just curious...the “chew” marks make me think that...
