      Thanks for the replies- wish I was able to find the other half. Don’t know if it was double sided blades, or something else, but I’ll keep looking : )

                        Congrats on the find. It certainly was worked and therefor an artifact. The percussion work didn't go well with many large steps. Probably was discarded because you can't knap through those big steps.

                            I guess I didn't want to be the first one to say it, but I agree with Ron. Whistler, you might be on or near a quarry site, if so, discarded pieces like what you have been posting would not be uncommon. That doesn't take away from the fact that they are artifacts.
