  • What did I find?

I finally got a chance to hike a creek. The water was down and right off the bat found this lot. I picked up the [chips] because they look like debilitate and I am trying to get used to looking for them. The rown looks like it has been worked a lot to some kind of spear point.

Beautiful! Lot of character and aesthetically very pleasing. Love the work on it.

Hey Edteach - I'd say it more like a blade rather than a "spear point." There are some nice lateral flake scars running across that piece. IMO - the others in your last two pics appear more like rocks than flakes. Maybe it's the pics rather than the pieces that lack detail.

That is one beautiful piece. Probably a little blade as Chuck suggested. Sure has nice creek stain.

There is some really nice workmanship on that knife. Lots of great flakes, a neat fracture on the tip, etc.

And nice caramel material, what state was it found in?

Hey Ed - take a pic of the edge of that pottery. It would help determine how it was fired by the texture

The pottery is called crockery not Native American but could be from the 50s
