ID:	347971 Hello All,
I’m in Hempstead Texas.( Hill Country)
I know it’s hard to tell from the pictures but could this possibly be a Celt? It’s 4 1/8” long 1” wide at top and 3/4” deep. Found it while digging a new pond.
    Thanks for the help,

    I don’t think it’s a tool Digger
. I can see you are trying and there is not a reason in the world that your not finding artifacts !
Do you have access to any creeks , springs , other natural water sources ? If so do some surface hunt around those areas.
Look for flakes on the ground and in dry creek bottoms. Thing is, in your area there are places that there is not much top soil.
In those type areas the artifacts , everything is close to the surface. Look for any area ( If you can find them) where there is sand. By that I mean more sand than usual. You will find artifacts in sand in central Tx.
Look down creek edges on both sides up and down and as far away as 50 yards or so. If you see flakes, there are artifacts. Your area is loaded .........JJ

L-Man gave you lots of good advice, and I agree about it not being a celt.
