  • Point? Or pendant?

    This was a purchase it was found on washoe lake Nevada. .anyone know of this is an actual point? Or a pendant or charm? Ty

    Interesting piece . After someone posted Quartz I was just thinking how exotic West coast pieces are . Looking in the Ovetstreet book I don’t see an example but have read about trade points .
    Just taking a piece to the next level in craftsmanship .
    Some member from that area will know .

          It's from an old collection a widow was selling off from her late husband's collection all western finds mostly that washoe lake area

            It looks good I'm thinking a pendant it doesn't look like a point . Or at least any thing I've seen from the Great Basin what is the reverse side look like ?

                  I don’t teally know . I don’t see it in the point ID but the west has exotic bases in my mind . It might just be a pendant . Like I said the only thing I have read on anything that looks like that is a trade . And the way it is made may very well be from any part of the west . You just don’t see things like that on the East coast .
                  I am still learning there is to much .
