  • First post, need some help I.D. my finds maybe calf creek, 2 unknown

Found this weekend in Dallas County MO, creeks walking distance from me, was told the first one could be a calf creek. Not entirely sure. 3 3/4"H, 2 1/4"W, little over 1/4" thick. The other two I have no info on. Any feedback is much appriciated.

Welcome to our forum! I only see one item, I believe, if the two pics are the same object. And I am not certain it's not just a rock. Hope you can get the other photos up for us to see....

Nice find and welcome to the form from IA. The long piece is hard to ID without the base buy looks more like a tool, knife to me. The tube I have no idea on but would guess natural stone.

Would you consider the big one a calf creek or a Mehlville point, and by chance any idea on the type of chert

You are in the area for those 2 point types but don't believe it is ether. The lancolate shape kinda eliminates those types and the flaking isn't right. I would call it a knife. As for the chert type it looks like burlington chert but that is a guess and am sure someone will chime in on chert type. Keep looking as that piece probably isn't the only thing in the area you found it.

To me, the round piece looks like it is a type of crinoid fossil......the long piece looks natural rock but pics may not do it justice
