    You can't find beautiful things every time.

    So you have to have an open heart and find some love for the ugly and mundane.

    A short walk in the creek yesterday yielded a couple these plain (but perfectly lovable) specimens.

    These pieces are heavily calcified obsidian.

    They were found in the Napa County, Ca.

      One side looks drilled, the other less so.

      Inclined to call it 'just a rock' but wanted opinions.

        nice haul I am thinking natural on the perforated donut stone. I would definetly have brought it home too. LOL

            Beautiful flake blade and the holey rock looks neat not sure if it’s a used piece or not but it’s a keeper. I’ve never really found anything drilled but looks like it could make for a nice net weight
