I know what you mean surface...I kayaked across the river sunday... didnt find crap. This was a new place though.... bigger river than I am used to...didnt even catch a fish....I've got a small creek near by that I'm thinking bout hunting soon...probably not this weekend though....going to go night fishing with my buddy on Saturday....try to catch some bass

Bass fishing here is a lot different. Lite line 10lb and small worm and a .25 ounce work weight one ought hook. Then you bounce it off the bottom in 20-25 ft of water on the points and ledges. Red eye bass mostly.
