I'd agree, Eva! I got one a little more used up but same exact shape made from Dover. Nice find!

Thanks Kyflint...I walked right past this last week....I found a point on same spot last sunday and with no rain.....must've missed this point....in all fairness....the point almost blended right in with the sand....you ever look up Adam from the duck river cache

No I'm trying to remember when I saw the cache, I do not recall any tell of a Mississipian stone statue accompanying the cache. Was it just found close to the cache? I know there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 of these stone statues known i think. But I couldn't find any info so if you have some link share it.

Ok Benji I found what you were talking about, its possible I knew this and forgot. Here's the link to Adam. I know a while back they had all these stone statues on a tour to various archaeological exhibits. Here's the link.

Note: For many decades, the male statue in Figure 1 (below) was referred to casually by the nickname "Sandy" in discussions among professional archaeologists, avocational archaeologists, and artifact collectors in Tennessee. It is my understanding that the Native American community in Tennessee was not pleased with the nickname "Sandy" and thought it to be disrespectful.…
