    Found this in Garrard County, Ky. Not sure if it is anything other than a weird shaped rock but appears to be the shape of a buffalo with a hump. Probably a stretch. What do you think?

    Not an artefact. It's an iron-rich concretion of some kind and most probably limonite, goethite. hematite or a mixture. Give it a firm streak on the back (unglazed) side of an old ceramic tile, blow the dust away and look at the colour of the streak, not the dust. Hematite streaks red-brown, limonite and goethite streak yellow-brown.
